What is Love?

Love is…

“Love is everything it’s cracked up to be. That’s why people are so cynical about it…It really is worth fighting for, risking everything for. And the trouble is, if you don’t risk everything, you risk even more.” – Erica Jong

”Love is friendship set on fire”
I have given so much thought to the concept of love, there are so many different meanings to this one word, one person can love a million different things in a million different ways, and through life and changes your ability to love will grow and change as you do.
For me, love is being so excited to wake up next to him because I missed him while I was sleeping, knowing every flaw and not caring because that is what makes him, him.

Love is not just an emotion, its every emotion- it’s happiness when its perfect, it’s anger when its not, its excitement when its found, and sadness when it’s lost.

There are lots of different kinds of love, the way I LOVE Greys Anatomy, is not the same as the way a new mother loves the tiny baby growing inside of her, and its certainly not the same as the way a kid loooooves ice-cream. Even though all these kinds of love are different, they all give meaning to the beautiful emotion. Loving God is very different from loving a pet – but the feeling in your heart, when you think about them, that welling and swelling inside your chest, is the same when it is about something living, like mom or dad, or your pooch.

I don’t think that anyone needs to figure out exactly what love is… because as soon as you find it, you will give it your very own meaning of love.
